Corey Falcon, MD

Corey Falcon, MD, specializes in pediatric hematology oncology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Corey P. Falcon received his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Following this, he completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Dr. Falcon is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology. He has been on staff at Ochsner since March 2020, and he has been practicing medicine since 2008. Dr. Falcon's expertise is in benign hematology to include sickle cell disease and hemophilia, as well as oncology. His special interests include neuro-oncology, stem cell transplantation, leukemia and lymphoma. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing sports, cycling and fishing.

I could write a book about how amazing Dr. Falcon is as an Oncologist and a person overall. He has to be the most honest, caring, dedicated Oncologist on this side of earth. Under God’s wing Dr. Falcon saved my daughter’s life. He took on my daughter’s care after being diagnosed with stage 3 cancer at the age of 2. Hearing your child has been diagnosed with a pediatric cancer is life shattering. But with Dr. Falcon’s continued love, compassion, education, advocacy, and support, this journey was just a little bit easier. He has always been, and still, even after remission, straightforward, honest, and available. I can never express the amount of love and gratitude my family has for him. My daughter can attest that, Dr. Falcon is her “favorite doctor”.
