Benjamin Dorton, MD

Dr. Dorton has been my doctor with back to back pregnancies. He oversaw one that had a devastating diagnosis and one that will potentially be a happy outcome. He has been amazing through both and I highly recommend him. He listens and answers questions, no matter what the situation may be.

Wonderful. My previous OB retired after years of seeing him and Dr.Dorton was the only other OB who could pick up our case during my last trimester who fit my specifications. He's a great cultural fit for our unique family and helped make the birth of our first son a religious experience. Most importantly he treated my husband as my equal in regards to inclusion during the process understanding how dear the birth of our child was to him. He's one of the sweetest men you could ever hope to meet and we look forward to him delivering our 3rd child.

Dr. Dorton is the best. I was kind of scared of going with a man OB Doctor at first.I felt like just because he was a man he will say anything but that’s not the case. He listens to you , he address your concerns and he also gives good advice on what you should do next which is always a good thing. I honestly love him being my OBGYN. I’m glad I chose him he’s amazing! I couldn’t have chose a better OBGYN. Thanks for all you done so far and all you will do in the future. Thanks for being amazing!

Dr. Dorton and his team at Ochsner did an amazing job on my Fibroid Surgery. Not only did he keep my family updated throughout the surgery(which was a complete success without any complications) my pain management was handled with care and throughout my healing process he was there with me the whole way. Any concerns or questions he answered effectively and consistently checked in on me while I healed at home. Dr. Dorton shows exemplary professionalism and the patients well being is his top priority. I can say I was blessed to have Dr. Dorton performing my surgery because I knew I was in capable hands.

Dr. Dorton was easily the most thorough gyno I’ve been to . It had been a few years since I’d been in to see one, and that was mostly due to dread . Dr. Dorton was a refreshing change . He explained every detail of what would happen in my coming procedures , and why. But, above all, he listened to my questions, and did not dismiss them or provide me with a rote reply. I’m really stoked that I have such a likable gyno now !

This doctors office is beyond helpful , clean. Organized and can always make way for you to be seen . The doctor listens to your every need , concern and does all he can to make you feel comfortable. He made sure to go above and beyond answering all my questions and his nursing staff is amazing .
