Dr. David Chang received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University before attending Indiana University for his master’s degree. He then completed medical school at Louisville before returning to Indiana for both internship and residency.

Dr. Chang has served as the medical director of radiation oncology at CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital since 2013. During his tenure, newly implemented radiotherapy technologies have been implemented, including 4-dimensional CT treatment planning, CT-CT and CT-MR image fusion for treatment planning, volumetric modulated arc radiotherapy (VMAT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT – Lung), Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS – Brain/Spine), accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) with SAVI Multi-Catheter device and Xofigo radionuclide therapy.

He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and American Board of Radiology. Dr. Chang is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology. He published a book titled Basic Radiotherapy Physics and Biology in 2014 and is cited in numerous research studies, peer-reviewed journal articles and presentations.
