Dr. Yelena Johnson is a licensed clinical psychologist at Ochsner Health. She completed her undergraduate degree at Tulane University in New Orleans and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. She completed her doctoral internship in pediatric psychology at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Emory School of Medicine/Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Atlanta. Currently, Dr. Johnson is an integrated pediatric primary care psychologist, providing consultation and liaison for patients at Westside Pediatrics. She does not offer traditional therapy/counseling, but she will provide clinical recommendations, referrals and brief solutions-focused interventions for psychological and developmental concerns. Dr. Johnson joined the Ochsner team in 2020. Dr. Johnson is committed to providing evidence-based interventions and has a strong background in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). She enjoys working with patients of all ages and cultural identities.
